Overview
The Legions of Gangrel are an ancient confederation whose origins stretch back to the oldest nights, when forests swallowed kingdoms and wolves answered to no crown. Unlike many Gangrel who wandered the world alone, the Legions united vampires and lycans beneath a single covenant, proving that civilization and wilderness could coexist without surrendering their identity.
Rather than embracing the rigid hierarchy of traditional vampire courts, the Legions believed survival belonged to those capable of mastering both worlds. Their warriors could stand among kings one night and disappear into forgotten forests the next, becoming ghosts beneath the moon before dawn ever arrived.
United by loyalty, instinct, and mutual respect, the Legions became guardians of the balance between fang and claw, order and freedom, civilization and the wild.
History
The Legions were organized into three great Houses, each carrying a unique responsibility while serving the same ancient covenant.
At their heart stood the Royal House — The Outlawz of Gangrel, ruled by Queen Ğαια ẹmι Ɲααмαħ. Her origins were lost to legend. Some believed she walked beside the First City, while others claimed she was born beneath a Blood Moon from the union of Gangrel vitae and the spirit of the wilderness itself.
Rejecting the rigid customs of vampire nobility, Queen Ğαια built a House where courage mattered more than bloodline. Outlaws, scholars, hunters, exiles, and shapeshifters all found refuge beneath her banner. Her crown was not forged from gold, but woven from living branches of silver oak, symbolizing that nature itself acknowledged her sovereignty.
To the east flourished the disciplined House of Jiang, led by High Regent ɛʋǟ ẹмι Ɲααмαħ. Hidden among mountain forests, Jiang's monasteries taught vampires to master their Beast rather than suppress it. Their warriors became silent hunters whose precision was feared throughout the ancient world, serving the Legions as diplomats, strategists, and guardians of forgotten knowledge.
Far to the west stood the Vampires of Mercia, ruled by High Regent Ƥαigє Vos-Яosє. Their fortress-forests sheltered legendary cavalry mounted upon monstrous wolves, black horses, and creatures older than recorded history. Mercia became the shield of the Legions, defending the confederation whenever darkness gathered beyond its borders.
The Covenant of Fang and Moon
The greatest mystery surrounding the Legions was their alliance with the lycans.
While vampires and werewolves waged endless wars across the world, the Legions maintained peace through the ancient Covenant of Fang and Moon. According to legend, Queen Ğαια met the First Wolf beneath a total eclipse. Rather than fight, they hunted together for seven consecutive nights.
When dawn finally came, both realized that endless conflict only strengthened far greater horrors hiding beyond creation itself.
From that night onward, vampire elders and lycan guardians protected the Covenant, ensuring that although distrust would never fully disappear, both races would stand together whenever darkness threatened the world.
The Crimson Hunt
The Legions faced their greatest trial when an ancient predator known only as The Hollow King emerged from forgotten catacombs beneath the earth.
Neither vampire nor spirit, the creature consumed the Beast itself, leaving both Kindred and lycans as empty shells. Entire domains disappeared. Princes vanished. Packs dissolved into silence.
Recognizing the danger, Queen Ğαια summoned every House of the Legions.
The Royal House answered with fearless champions led by Princess Tαƙαɳα Kυҽι-ʝιɳ and her brother ֆǿʊŁƹȿȿ Vincent Vieto. Jiang sent disciplined assassins under High Regent ɛʋǟ ẹмι Ɲααмαħ, while Mercia rode beneath crimson banners led by Commander Lexa Kom TriKru.
United beneath the emblem of a black wolf entwined with a crimson bat beneath a silver moon, the three Houses waged war for thirteen nights across forests, ruined castles, forgotten cities, and ancient mountains.
In the final battle, Queen Ğαια confronted the Hollow King alone. Rather than denying her Beast, she embraced it completely, proving that true mastery came not from suppressing one's darkness, but from choosing how to wield it.
Unable to dominate a soul that had already accepted its own nature, the Hollow King was finally destroyed.

Legacy
When the Crimson Hunt ended, the rulers refused glory for themselves. Instead, beneath another Blood Moon, Queen Ğαια, High Regent ɛʋǟ, and High Regent Ƥαigє renewed the Covenant of Fang and Moon, ensuring that the alliance would endure for generations yet to come.
The Legions of Gangrel returned to the shadows. Many Kindred dismissed them as myth, while countless lycans denied they had ever existed. Yet travelers who wander too deeply into ancient forests still tell stories of crimson-eyed wolves, silent riders emerging from the mist, and three banners moving beneath the full moon.
They say the Legions still stand watch, preserving the balance between civilization, the wilderness, and the Beast that dwells within them all.
The hunt never truly ends.
