Overview
The Solaris, also known as the Blood of the Sun, are an ancient lineage of mortal humans carrying within their veins a fragment of the Sacred Flame of Eden.
Their origins date back to the earliest generations of mankind, long before the rise of kingdoms, empires, and the great supernatural dynasties that would eventually dominate the world.
Unlike the Vampires, Lycans, and other supernatural beings, the Solaris did not originate from a curse, a transformation into an immortal creature, or a pact with Darkness.
Their existence began with an extraordinary encounter between a mortal man and the divine fire that guarded the gates of Paradise.
From that encounter emerged the First Solaris, whose descendants would eventually establish one of humanity's oldest secret societies:
The Order of the Sun.
For thousands of years, the Order remained hidden, protecting mankind, preserving ancient knowledge, and guarding the sacred weapon responsible for the creation of their bloodline.
Now, with Darkness rising throughout DawnDream, the Order has ended its silence.
The children of the Sun have returned.
The First Solaris
The Forgotten Son of Adam
Long before kingdoms were raised, before empires divided the lands of men, and before the creatures of Darkness established their dominion over the night, there lived a man whose name has been lost to history.
He was neither a king nor a warrior.
Neither an angel nor a god.
He was simply human, born among the earliest generations of mankind, a distant son of Adam whose curiosity drove him farther into the ancient world than any man of his time dared to wander.
The oldest writings of the Order of the Sun tell that during one of these journeys, the man discovered something believed to have been forever lost to humanity.
He had found the ancient path leading back to Eden.
Following the forgotten road, he eventually reached the gates of the Garden, where he witnessed the sacred guardian that had stood there since mankind's exile.

The Flaming Sword of Eden
The Sword burned without fuel and without end.
Its flames moved with impossible speed, turning in every direction, cracking and roaring like a living fire.
It had been placed there by divine command so that mankind could never again enter the Garden.
No mortal was supposed to survive its touch.
Yet the man did not approach the Sword seeking power.
There was no ambition in his heart, no desire for immortality, and no dream of conquest.
He approached it with nothing but innocence, curiosity, and a pure heart.
And he touched the flame.
The fire should have consumed him.
Instead, the fire accepted him.
The flames surrounded his body but did not burn his flesh. They passed through his skin, entered his blood, and reached his heart.
The Sacred Flame of Eden became one with a mortal man.
The ancient writings say that the Guardian understood what had occurred.
Darkness was already spreading throughout the world, and one day mankind would require something capable of standing against it.
If Darkness would walk among men, then Light would walk among them as well.
Not as gods.
Not as angels.
But as humans carrying the fire of the Sun within their veins.
That man became the First Solaris.

- Elijah — Remembered for calling fire from Heaven against his enemies.
- Moses — Who stood before the burning bush, witnessed divine fire, and later brought judgment upon Egypt.
- Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego — Who were cast into a blazing furnace yet walked among the flames without being consumed.
Humanity remembered them as prophets, servants of God, and men touched by miracles.
The Order remembered something else.
They carried the Flame.
According to its sacred writings, they were descendants of an ancient bloodline stretching back to the man who first touched the Flaming Sword at the gates of Eden.

The Prophecy of the Rising Darkness
The prophecy spoke of an age when Darkness would no longer hide from humanity.

The Return of the Sacred Sword
After thousands of years hidden among mankind, the Order of the Sun has opened its gates.
The Flaming Sword has been revealed once again.
For the first time in countless generations, humans judged worthy by the Order may stand before the sacred weapon that created the First Solaris.
Those believed to possess a pure heart are permitted to approach the Flame and place their hands upon the Sword of the Cherubim.
But the Sacred Flame does not answer every soul.
For some, nothing happens.
For the corrupted, the Flame is judgment.
Yet when someone carrying the ancient blood touches the Sword...

The Order no longer watches from the shadows.

Philosophy of the Order
The Order of the Sun preserves the belief that the Sacred Flame was never intended to make humanity divine.
It was given so that mankind would not be defenseless against the Darkness.
The Solaris therefore carry both a gift and a responsibility.
Their power must be guided by wisdom, restraint, courage, and the understanding that life itself is sacred.
The oldest teachings of the Order emphasize the principles that have guided its members throughout history.
Protection
The Sacred Flame exists to defend life and protect those who cannot protect themselves.
