The Lycans were the second great race to awaken within the world of DawnDream. Born beneath the influence of the Moon Curse, they stand as powerful rivals to the Vampires and one of the dominant forces shaping the kingdom.
Unlike Vampires, who cultivate ancient knowledge and supernatural mental abilities, Lycans embody raw power, ferocity, and relentless aggression. Their existence revolves around strength, instinct, and survival. Every aspect of Lycan life is built around combat, making them some of the most dangerous warriors in DawnDream.
Throughout the centuries, Lycans have proven themselves as worthy adversaries to even the oldest Vampires, often overcoming superior intellect with overwhelming brutality and determination.
Nature of the Curse
The Moon Curse transformed ordinary blood into something entirely different.
Lycans do not possess the crimson blood carried by Vampires. Instead, a mystical vitality flows through their bodies, infused with lunar energy and marked by an unmistakable blue hue. This vitality serves as the source of their strength, resilience, and supernatural endurance.
While Vampires sustain themselves through blood, Lycans thrive through Ferocity, a primal force generated through battle, instinct, and the beast that lives within them.
The more a Lycan embraces their nature, the stronger that ferocity becomes.
Masters of Combat
The entire Lycan HUD and progression system are designed around warfare and physical domination.
Lycans possess abilities that allow them to temporarily unleash tremendous bursts of power, dramatically increasing their combat effectiveness for short periods of time. Their attacks are brutal, direct, and devastating, capable of overwhelming opponents through sheer force.
While they lack the advanced mental powers, telepathy, and supernatural manipulation possessed by Vampires, they compensate with unmatched ferocity, resilience, and raw damage output.
A Lycan does not seek to outthink an enemy. A Lycan seeks to break them.
Lycan Society
The culture of the Lycans differs greatly from that of the Vampires.
Many choose to swear loyalty to Clans and Houses, becoming part of the broader political landscape of DawnDream. Others remain devoted to the ancient traditions of their people by joining Packs, where loyalty, brotherhood, and the hunt remain sacred.
Regardless of where their allegiance lies, all Lycans share a common connection to the Moon Curse and the primal instincts that unite their kind.

Since their awakening, Lycans and Vampires have stood as natural rivals. Where Vampires represent control, knowledge, and supernatural mastery, Lycans embody instinct, strength, and untamed power.
